David has over 40 years' business experience originally working at Barclays Bank for 19 years before moving to Allied Dunbar. David started working alongside Martin Hirst in 2002 and became an Independent Financial Adviser when he joined Martin Hirst Financial Consultancy in 2005. David has the full Financial Planning Certificate and can advise on all matters of financial planning. David also has extensive experience in Financial Services Compliance having held senior roles previously and still provides support to the business in this area when required. He is married to Pam with four children, has six grandchildren and is an ardent golfer being a past Captain at Halifax Bradley Hall Golf Club.
